Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist, Tissue Viability and Continence at Nursing Directorate

Sian Fumarola (MSc; BSc Hon; Independent prescriber; RGN; Dip health Ed; Dip. Counselling)

Sian practices as a NHS- based clinical nurse specialist and strategic lead in Tissue Viability and Continence, she has 35 years’ experience in nursing and 18 years in specialist practice. Sian’s focus is quality and enhanced clinical outcomes through education, communication, leadership and team development. She has a portfolio of collaborative working with industry partners to develop products and services enabling improved clinical outcomes and reduced cost per care episode.

Sian was seconded to the Department of Health from 2016 to 2018 to support the National Clinical Evaluation Team in an independent review of wound care product ranges supplied to the NHS. In addition to her NHS role she has recently joined the National Procurement Provider (DHL) to support delivery of efficiency savings outlined in the Future Operating Model.
